Fayemi to deliver Emeka Obasi inaugural memorial lecture

Former Governor of Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi, will be delivering a lecture in honour of the late Publisher of Hallmark newspaper, Prince Emeka Obasi.
According to a statement by the Chairman of the Advisory Board, Business Hallmark Public Policy Forum, Marc Wabara, noted that the theme of the event is “If this giant, Manifesto for a New Nigeria”, would be held Thursday, May 2, 2024.
He said that the topic became imperative to breach the gap of Nigeria’s failure to discuss the inability of the country to optimally deploy its abundant manpower and resources to fast-track its growth and development despite its six decades of attaining political independence.
The programme would also be grace by the Governor of Abia State, Alex Otti, former Cross River State Governor, Donald Duke, Senator Shehu Sanni, etc.
It will be recalled that Obasi died on March 15, 2022, at the age of 58 years in Lagos and was buried in his country home, Umuaroko, Ndume Ibeku, Umuahia North, Abia State on April 14, 2022.
